365 Notes On Love was partially included in my book A Filipino Werewolf in Quezon City: An Author's Notebook (edited by Jessica Zafra, Anvil Publishing Inc., 2000). The book has long been out of print and out of stock. I am posting the manuscript of the Notes on Love section in full for the first time, in cyberspace.
There is a difference between the printed text and the cyberspace version. This version is complete; I restored all of the passages that the publishers omitted from the printed text either because there were constraints in space or because they found some passages to be outre. Or both.
In 2013, during the visit of Pulitzer Prize winner Edward P. Jones to the Philippines, I had the opportunity to meet Jessica again, and I asked her whether it was she who edited out those passages. She said that it was not.
Here's hoping that you enjoy the full version.
